Aya Elsherif joined Van Dyke Horn as an  intern in January 2017.  She is a junior at Wayne State University pursuing a major in Public Relations and Political Science. Aya has lived all over the world in cities such as Cairo, Dubai, New York, and Muscat. She hopes to one-day work in public relations on political and international matters.  

While at Wayne State, Aya has worked with Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), The Wayne State HIGH program (Help Individuals Go Higher) and Wayne State Residential Halls to help them build their social media presence and following. Aya also created the photojournalism page called “Humans of Wayne State University” which has gained popularity among Wayne State students. 

Aya is a Resident advisor at Atchison Residential Hall and a student assistant for the College of Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts. Aya is also a member of several student groups such as PRSSA, Humans of Wayne State, The South End, and Deep Breath. 

Aya is very active in her community. She often spends her time volunteering in soup kitchens and working with refugees. Her knowledge of three languages and passion to learn more helps in her endeavor to help people.
