ACCOUNT & operations EXECUTIVE
Elizabeth Durham joined Van Dyke•Horn in 2016 as an account and operations executive. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, crisis communication, media relations and event planning.
Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth worked as a communications consultant in the automotive and technology industries for clients such as BMW, Castrol, MINI USA and Infosys. She also consulted for several projects in Detroit including NAIAS (The North American International Auto Show), Eastern Market Corporation and The Detroit People Mover.
Elizabeth also is an accomplished researcher in the field of rhetorical studies, receiving her doctorate from Wayne State University in 2010. Her work analyzes rhetorical responses crafted at moments of political crises, which she has presented nationally at academic conferences. Elizabeth continues to teach at her alma mater in the Department of Communication, where she has been an adjunct faculty member for over a decade.
Elizabeth lives with her husband, son and dog-daughter in Midtown, Detroit and visits daily many of Detroit’s gems such as the Detroit Riverwalk, the Michigan Science Center and the Belle Isle Aquarium.
